We led the development and production of the annual report, ensuring it told a compelling story of impact and mission delivery. My role spanned every stage of production, including:
Directed rebranding and outreach efforts through the WeAreTheMasons.org campaign, producing digital ads and radio spots, and executing a statewide media buy with the Detroit Tigers to reach audiences across Michigan. Built community partnerships, including with Say Yes Detroit, where the Masons contributed $10 million to support after-school programming.
Additionally, I created and launched Michigan Masons Week (2017), securing a state proclamation and Senate Resolution recognizing the organization’s civic contributions. Oversaw media outreach and a public ceremony at the State Capitol, elevating awareness of the Masons’ 287 active lodges and their community service across the state.
Served as a strategic advisor to GM’s CCA leadership and internal communications team, guiding direction for messaging and employee engagement initiatives. Oversaw the development of content for Socrates TV, advised on learning module communications, and supported recognition programs that reinforced business priorities. Helped align communications with organizational goals while ensuring employees stayed informed, motivated, and connected to GM’s mission.
As part of the MCCI Corp team, I helped lead a transformative rebranding initiative to shift public perception of Detroit Water & Sewerage (DWSD) from a utility with an unfavorable reputation to a trusted community partner. Through the “Working Hard for You” campaign—spanning TV, radio, digital, outdoor, PR, and community engagement—we humanized frontline workers, elevated DWSD’s role as an advocate for residents. We drove measurable impact, including double-digit increases in on-time bill payments and a 50% reduction in scheduled shutoffs.
I am a communications and marketing leader with over 20 years of experience driving brand visibility, audience engagement, and measurable growth for Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits, and public institutions. Known for blending creative storytelling with data-driven strategy, I’ve led award-winning campaigns, produced multimedia content for national brands, and built integrated communication plans that inspire action and strengthen reputation.
In addition to communications, I am a professional saxophonist and vocalist, performing at various events and venues across Michigan. Music is not only a creative outlet, but also a skill set that sharpens my presentation, storytelling, and audience connection abilities — qualities I bring to my work as a communicator and strategist.
